To maintain your wool garments, avoid frequent washing as wool is naturally self-cleaning, breathable, and resistant to odors. Instead, air it outside or in a damp bathroom to freshen it. When washing is necessary, use lukewarm water (max 20°C) and a wool detergent, gently washing and rinsing without rubbing or wringing. Always dry flat, as wet wool stretches easily. Avoid fabric softeners or dryers. When using a washing machine, select the wool cycle and keep the temperature and spin cycle at a minimum. Please note, each machine may handle wool differently, so wash at your own risk and handle with care.
Pilling occurs in merino wool due to the natural fibers rubbing against each other during wear. This is a normal process and not a sign of poor quality. Over time, pilling will reduce and can be gently removed by hand or using a fabric shaver.
